“Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” 1 John 4:11 RSV
The love of the Godhead for each other is full, complete, selfless, empowering, and freeing all at once. They would do anything for each other to support their growth
In the marriage relationship Christians are to illustrate the love of Christ and his church: Christ loving her like his own body and willing to die for her sake and benefit, the church reverencing and obeying his love to improve her whole self for his benefit. Couples who receive their love from Christ daily, will love and improve themselves daily to love and bless the other even better than before. Then they can create new beings in their image to share in this love. And together this unit shares this love with the world. Receiving God’s love daily is the secret of a Christ-like marriage and family.
