“…complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.” Philippians 2:2 RSV
You’ve been called to receive the selfless love of God. You’ve made a beginning, and you’re already running into challenges. That is to be expected. It may be difficult at first. You may forget, or lose the connection, or lose the vision, or drop it when that frustrating person or situation comes up. That’s normal.
But don’t quit. Keep it up, no matter what. Try again. Again and again. 10 times. 100 times. 1000 times. 10,000 times. Until you’re an expert. Until you master it. Until you’re breathing it. However long it takes. If you run out of love before the day is through, just take a moment to restock. When you can get to the end of a day without running out, repeat it, day after day. In the process, you will lose more and more of your self. More and more, through His Spirit, Christ will be embodied in you, using your body, mind, and heart to love those He couldn’t reach otherwise.
God, thank You for Your selfless love. Thank You for starting me on this transformation! Help me stay on this! Continue what You started in my life until it is complete in me! Amen!
