Free Love, Finally

“Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.”

In conclusion, I do need to warn you about one last thing. Perhaps you sense it even now. Something bigger than you is calling you. Calling you higher than you’ve ever been. Higher than you can leap, than you can see, calling you beyond the horizon. And you can feel that if you leap over the edge, you may lose yourself. All the while you feel completely inadequate, whole unworthy, full-fledged imposter syndrome.

Yet it keeps calling. The more you receive God’s love, the louder the call becomes, the harder it is to deny or ignore, and still the smaller you feel. You’re right. You are definitely being called to something bigger. God’s love is calling you. Inviting you to come closer in, enticing you to join Him on a journey to fulfill your life’s highest purpose, to become one unique Spirit-filled human expression of His love on earth.

And yes, you are not enough by yourself. If you step into this calling as you are, you may lose it all. But while this is your destiny, you weren’t designed to do it alone. Join with God. In Christ become bigger than your dreams. You are standing on the edge of the biggest decision of your life so far. You must run from the call and the love, or surrender, lean in, and let go.

Do not be alarmed. The free love of God can consume you but won’t destroy you. You may be on “fire” but not burnt. The unconditional love of God through you will grow you up to your fullest potential, which is beyond your current limits. It will stretch the amount and types of conditions you can operate well in, but you will not break. You may lose sight of this you, but Love won’t let go. A new you is already forming, a stronger you is soon to break forth, a brighter you is soon to take flight.

Take the leap. Love will catch you. And set you free.

Oh, God… catch me.
