Has anyone ever told you how precious you are? Have I ever you how thankful I am for you? But have I said it recently? Then let me tell you again. Come close.
I am so grateful for you. I’m so glad you’re alive. You didn’t die that time you could have. Or that other time! You chose to live. I’m glad you were born. I’m glad you’re you. You didn’t choose to be born, but are choosing to be you. Every day you show up to life. Thank you.
And beyond that, you’re here! You could be anywhere else in the world, and they would love to have you, but you chose to be here. You don’t even have to do anything for me, even though you always do. Just your presence means the world to me. I don’t want to imagine life with you all gone or far away. Thank you for being here.
Life isn’t promised to anyone. And if your life journey calls you elsewhere, or if it’s your time to exit, I won’t hold you back. But I’ll push that day away and spend every moment now thanking God for the time we have.
God, thank You for the friends You send to visit my posts. Thank you for making them the way You did and bringing them to life and through life. Thank You for their presence here. Meet them where they are today. Give them Your grace to cover their past and fuel their future. Come close this season, comfort any sorrow, ease any pain, heal any hurts, hold any dreams. Surround them with loved ones to be thankful for. Bring them back again.
