“Now the LORD [Love] said, “It is not good (beneficial) for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper [one who balances him—a counterpart who is] suitable and complementary for him.”” Genesis 2:18 AMP

Now if this doesn’t prove my point I don’t know what will! Genesis chapter 2 gives the details from the overview in chapter 1. In Genesis 2:18 Love said, It isn’t good for the man to be alone. I love how the Amplified Bible explains good as beneficial. Love would know, especially since Creator Love as a perfect unit is never alone.
But I also love the order there. Before this confession, Love had done His expected inspection, testing the man with naming the animals. While the man passed the test, he also keenly noticed the pairs of male and female passing before him. And Love keenly observed Adam’s reaction. Perhaps Love could sense the wonder, the searching, the longing, the disappointment and its effect on his entire system. Perhaps there was an unrecorded conversation. Either way, Love now knew for certain, it wasn’t beneficial for the man to be alone. Adam was built to be part of a union, and he didn’t work as well without it. Adam had passed the test, his circuits picked up on a missing piece, and now was ready to receive it. Love was happy. His creation was working as it was supposed to, and He could continue with his plan to make the final part. The woman. The helper, the balancer, the counterpart.
Love! You knew! Thank you that we aren’t alone, just as You are one, but never alone. Forgive us when we don’t get this. Prepare us as you prepared the first humans, then show us how to love like You do.
