“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

As I posted yesterday, this year will mark some new things for me. I don’t believe in New Year’s Resolutions per se, but I have no problem taking advantage of everyone else’s energy during this season. However, I do believe in coincidental timing, habitual development, and the power of love. And now is the perfect time to start, or continue, some new habits.
My first and most important change is a new mindset. All lasting changes must start here. Our habits come out of our thinking, and the same thinking will create the same actions. The deepest mindset shift I’m experiencing is in seeing the love of God in the way that I needed to grasp it. And it is changing my life from the inside out. How I approach God is new. How I see myself, my gifts, my faults, my circumstances is new. How I see my loved ones, my family and friends, especially my enemies is new. Real love changes everything.
This will produce a new lifestyle with new outcomes, guaranteed. In allowing God’s love to be the root of my health, my work, my hobbies, and my worship a new style of life will emerge, and I’m excited. At the moment I’m not sure of the details. It’s all still so new. But I’ll share some of what’s happening as it’s happening.
What are doing new this year? I encourage you to use this time to relook at your life, and imagine what might be different if it all came from and went back to God’s great love. How would your thinking or living be new? Leave a comment.
Oh, God! Look what You’ve done now! It is beginning! 2026, here I come!
